Han Calisthenics 漢導引 Movement
5 also known as Basket Swinging - 漢導引第五式 搖簸箕, this movement serves
to stretch the spinal and allow Qi to travel between the tip of the back bone
and the top of the head.
Han Calisthenics Movement 5 - 漢導引第五式 Main Points:
Bow to the right and to the left with emphasis on the intake and outpour of air
from the lungs. This movement simulates an ice-skating gesture and hiding hands
inside the sleeves as if you are going against the gusting wind.
Han Calisthenics Movement 5 - 漢導引第五式 Method:
1: The left leg moves to the left, two feet parallel the knees bent and the
distance between the feet wider than that of the shoulders.
2: Two arms form a circle as if holding a big basket.
3: Now swing the body to the left , then to the right.
Han Calisthenics Movement 5 - 漢導引第五式 Note:
The overlapping hands should leave a small hold in the middle so that the naval
is not covered by the palms. Inhale when bending your body forward, with stomach
tucked in. Exhale on your way back to a straight up position, stomach relaxed.
