Han Calisthenics 漢導引 Movement
6 also known as Arm Whirling - 漢導引第六式 搖臂朝天, this movement serves
to losen your neck, practice to keep alert and allow Qi to flow up to the hands.
Han Calisthenics Movement 6 - 漢導引第六式 Main Points:
Raise arms straight to line up with the ears with palms facing each other. Turn
head to the left, turn palms to face against eah other and utter a "Ha!" sound.
Repeat this 3 times and leave arms up, palms facing each other, forat least 10
seconds. Do the same by turning head to the right side.
Han Calisthenics Movement 6 - 漢導引第六式 Method:
1: The feet are kept parallel and as wide apart as the outer edges of the
shoulders.
2: The arms hang down naturally by the sides, fingers apart.
3: Breathe naturally and the eyes look ahead.
4: Whirl -the arms upward and as soon as they are in a vertical line with the
head turn the head to the left and utter "Ha" then lower the arms.
5: Do this three times and, at the end, hold the arms up and pause for about 20
seconds to allow Ch'i to flow up to the hands.
6: Do 4: three more times but turn the head to the right. At the end, hold up
the arms for about 20 seconds to. allow Ch'i to flow up to the arms.
Han Calisthenics Movement 6 - 漢導引第六式 Note:
The movements of turning head, reversing hand direction and uttering the "Ha!"
sound must be done simultaneously.
